ABOUT

My name is Briana Maree.  I am an artist living in Fresno, CA.

My current work is full of play and experimentation.  Influenced by color, texture, pattern, form, and space, the work is an exploration of abstraction and mark making. Each detail is pieced together with intuitively intentional marks, and marriages of imagery, layered on top of each other.  A free-flowing movement painted and pasted across the surface.

Throughout my work you will find a variety of different mediums being used including drawing, painting, collage, mixed media,  sculpture, ceramics, textiles, and even wearable art. I classify myself as a multi-media artist because I desire and enjoy expressing myself in whichever way feels right for the vision of my work, and don't limit myself to any specific medium.

I am inspired by the world around me; from nature, people, animals, color, and texture, to culture, spirituality, fantasy, and all things in between.  My external environment and internal personal experience have influence on the direction of my work.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art, Summa Cum Laude, from Fresno State University in 2018.  As an artist at Fresno State, my work was displayed in the Phebe Conley Art Gallery’s student shows on campus, including the Senior Show exhibition that was held in April 2018.  My work was displayed at Veni Vidi Vici in 2018 and 2019. I had work shown at the Peerless Building’s Grand Opening Art Show in downtown Fresno in 2018.  My work was displayed at Veni Vidi Vici again for the months of January and February 2020.

I also combine my passion for art with fashion design by creating unique, one of a kind, handmade hats known as Breezy’s Crown Designs.  I sell these handmade hats via my shop on Etsy.
